FC Utrecht has confirmed the signing of Bas Dost on a one-year deal.

The 33-year-old was a free agent after leaving Club Brugge and Utrecht has swooped to bring the striker back to the Netherlands after a ten-year spell abroad.

Dost has signed a one-year contract in the Cathedral City and becomes Utrecht’s second new striker this summer after the arrival of Daishawn Redan.

Dost started his career with Emmen before spells with Heracles Almelo, Heerenveen, VfL Wolfsburg, Sporting Portugal and Eintracht Frankfurt. He then moved to Club Brugge 2021. Dost also has 18 caps for the Dutch national team, scoring once.
