Feyenoord beat Heracles Almelo 2-1 in an important game in De Kuip today; however the Europa League contenders made it much more difficult than was necessary.

Feyenoord took off a bit rough, but developed quickly in the game while Heracles only seemed to hold off theattacks. They surrendered in the 12th minute as Luke Wilkshere assisted Elvis Manu, who escaped from Mike Te Wierik to net his first goal in the Eredivisie this season.
Manu scored seven minutes again, this time from a corner kicked by Jens Toornstra. Two Heracles players collided, making way for Manu to score his second goal.
Feyenoord then started to waste chances, with Colin Kazim-Richards (free header over) and Jens Toornstra (hit the goalkeeper). Heracles only had one chance in the whole first half, and it was a dangerous one: Vermeer had to hit the ball from Bryan Linssen to the bar to keep a clean sheet in the first half.
However, in the second half, Heracles received a penalty after Wilkshere fouled Oussama Tannane. Jeroen Veldmate scored, putting Heracles back in the game and putting the hearts of the 44.500 Feyenoord fans at a high beat.
However, after Vermeer saved a chance of two, Feyenoord took over again and they won the game ultimately, but if they want to win in Rijeka next Thursday night, they really need to do something about their effectivity.
