According to Voetbal International, Feyenoord unsuccessfully tried to bring Tahith Chong back to the club from Manchester United this summer. PSV were also interested.

The young attacker came through the Feyenoord academy before making the move to Manchester United back in 2016.
Chong has seen his first-team chances limited in England but he is not yet ready to give up and believes he will get a chance this season.
According to Voetbal International, both PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord made contact with Manchester United this summer but a move is not an option.
His agent Erkan Alkan told VI, ‘Tahith does not want to be loaned, but to fight for his chance at Manchester United. Top clubs from the Bundesliga and La Liga also have him in sight. He has done a strong preparation, in which he has proven he belongs to the better attackers of United. ”
Am not surprised. Feyenoord was just good enough to give Chong the opportunity to become a quality player. Of course a fabulously wealthy English team pays him 10x more money than Feyenoord can afford. The old story. The difference between MU and Feyenoord is the complete lack of common sense with MU and many more English teams. A Dutch football team can compete with an English team. But it can never compete with the insane amounts of money many English teams receive from their Arabian oil billionaires.
