Feyenoord have one foot in the next round of the Europa Conference League after a 3-0 victory over Luzern in Switzerland.

Arne Slot handed centre-back Gernot Trauner his official debut in place of Leroy Fer, who dropped to the bench. Bryan Linssen was once again preferred up front.

After nine minutes, Feyenoord had the lead with Luis Sinisterra setting up Guus Til to finish well. The midfielder, who netted a hat-trick against Drita in the last round, then made it 2-0 in the 38th minute when Alireza Jahanbakhsh’s shot was parried into his path.

Feyenoord remained in control after the break and eventually Sinisterra added the third goal in the 84th minute after an error from the Luzern goalkeeper.

Feyenoord take a massive lead into the second leg in Rotterdam next week. The winner goes on to face Elfsborg or Velez Mostar, who drew 1-1 in Sweden.
