VI is reporting that Feyenoord have made an offer of €6.5 million for Berghuis, which is only €500,000 away from Watford’s asking price. A deal is expected to be reached soon with Berghuis set to sign a multi-year contract in Rotterdam.
The 25-year-old joined Feyenoord on loan from the Hornets last summer and played a crucial role in their title winning campaign, netting seven times in 30 Eredivisie matches.
Berghuis will become Feyenoord’s sixth summer signing after Sofyan Amrabat, Jean Paul Boetius, Kevin Diks, Jerry St Juste and Ridgeciano Haps.
