Feyenoord have completed the signing of Heerenveen winger Bilal Basacikoglu and Australian right back Luke Wilkshire.

basacWilkshire, formerly of FC Twente, joins on a free transfer after leaving Dinamo Moscow at the end of last season, and signs a one-year-contract. The 32-year-old has been signed as a replacement for Daryl Janmaat, who left for Newcastle United.

Basacikoglu, a Netherlands U19 international signs from Heerenveen, where the winger was one of the breakout stars of the Eredivisie last season. The youngster, who netted six times in 25 matches during his first season in the Eredivisie, has joined for an undisclosed fee on a four-year contract with an option to extend.

Speaking to the official Feyenoord site, Basacikoglu said, “This is a dream come true.”

“Its went very quickly. Last season I made ​​my debut in the Eredivisie after the winter break, I played almost every game for  Heerenveen. This move to Feyenoord fit into that picture.”.

“Now I’m at a top club, where you need top performance every week. I can’t wait to play my first game for Feyenoord.”

The signing of the duo means Feyenoord have now signed four players this summer, with Khalid Boulahrouz, and Warner Hahn joining on free’s earlier.

Feyenoord will not stop their spending yet though as they are still on the lookout for a new forward to replace Graziano Pelle, with Bas Dost, and John Guidetti two options.
