Feyenoord has officially confirmed that Arne Slot will be there new head coach once Dick Advocaat steps down in the summer.

Two weeks ago, Advocaat confirmed he would be retiring from club management in the summer, and speculation quickly rose that Slot was in talks with Feyenoord. Slot was then sacked by AZ Alkmaar once it became clear those reports were true.

Feyenoord has now confirmed that Slot will take over in the summer on a two-year deal with the option of a third.

The 42-year-old turned AZ Alkmaar into title challengers last season after taking over from John van den Brom. He played for NAC Breda, Sparta Rotterdam and PEC Zwolle during his career.
