Feyenoord wasted a number of chances as they were held to a 1-1 draw by FC Twente in De Kuip.

Dick Advocaat remains unbeaten as Feyenoord boss and was looking for their first home win of the campaign on Sunday against a refreshed FC Twente.

After only two minutes, the visitors were ahead when Danilo cleverly flicked the ball into the path of Vaclav Cerny who fired into the net.

Feyenoord pushed for the equaliser and in the 27th minute, Lutsharel Geertruida was brought down. However, Steven Berghuis saw his penalty saved before he was brought down as he went for the rebound. At the second time of asking, Berghuis netted from the spot to make it 1-1.

Feyenoord pushed for the lead with Bryan Linssen firing a good chance wide early in the second half. Queensy Menig put a decent chance for FC Twente wide but the visitors were second best in De Kuip.

Advocaat threw on Robert Bozeník and debutante João Teixeira and the chances came thick and fast towards the end. Joel Drommel saved well from Leroy Fer before Berghuis somehow fired wide at the back post. Then deep into injury time, Luciano Narsingh found himself in on goal but he blazed wide.

A frustrating draw for Feyenoord, but a well earned point for FC Twente. Both teams move onto four points.
