Dick Advocaat was looking for a new centre-back after Sven van Beek was ruled out for a length of time. He now has his man with Spajic joining on loan from Krasnodar.
The 27-year-old Serbian played for Red Star Belgrade, Toulouse and Anderlecht before he moved to Russia in 2018. He has made 43 appearances for Krasnodar but now departs for Rotterdam.
Spajic told the Feyenoord website, “I am very happy to be here. Feyenoord is a big club that is always competing for prizes. That’s why I’m happy to be here.”
