Jordy Clasie is being linked with several clubs this summer including Premier League side Southampton and Italians Roma, with Feyenoord set to make several millions in any deal.
According to Voetbal International, should Clasie leave then Feyenoord will look to spend the money on Vitesse Arnhem’s Marko Vejinovic. The 25-year-old’s management has already held talks with Feyenoord over a possible deal, and Vejinovic is keen on a move to De Kuip.
Vejinovic has a contract with Vitesse until 2017, but the Arnhem club could be forced to sell in order to keep themselves steady with the Financial fair play rules.
The former AZ and Heracles midfielder has made 61 league appearances for Vitesse since 2013, scoring 13 goals.
this would be a good move. Clasie is better defensively but Marko is better offensively. On the money side it also makes sense. Clasie is sold for 12-15 million, Marko is bought for 4-6 million. Leaves money to spend elsewhere. Like a striker named John…….. Those 2 would make Feyenoord a much better team than just having Clasie. In fact we have room for a 3rd signing with that money. if we go out and add another CD then would could move Kongolo up to DMF. That could be a very good team. Think of this starting 11: F Kuyt, Guidetti, CKR, M Toornstra, Marko, and Kongolo, D Woudenberg, new CD, Van Beek, and Karsdorp, with Vermeer or Hahn in G. I like that lineup a lot!
I can’t see Guidetti back. His attitude stinks!
