Ayoub underwent his medical in Rotterdam on Tuesday and he will sign a multi-year contract with Feyenoord when his deal with Utrecht expires in the summer.

The 23-year-old wanted to earn Utrecht a transfer fee but has instead agreed to stay at the club until the end of the season before departing for free.

Ayoub made his debut in the Utrecht first team in 2013 and has since become a key part of their midfield. In 155 appearances he has scored 19 goals and contributed 31 assists.

The Moroccan becomes Feyenoord’s first signing for next season and he will join up with former Utrecht teammate Sofyan Ambrabat at De Kuip.
