janmaatIn the new issue of Voetbal International, Feyenoord director Martin van Geel stated that the club are hoping to reward Janmaat for his great performances.

The defenders contract currently runs until 2015, and the Rotterdam side are hoping to renew this to try and stave of the growing interest from foreign clubs.

Since joining from ADO Den Haag in the summer of 2012, the 24 year old has been a stand out performer for Feyenoord, and is now the number one right back in the Dutch national side.

His performances have alerted clubs such as Arsenal, Juventus, and Inter Milan, with scouts from all over Europe checking on the right back’s performances regularly.

Feyenoord have already signed Stefan de Vrij, and Jordy Clasie up to new deals, and will be hoping that Janmaat follows suit. His fellow defender Bruno Martins Indi is also coming under the radar of big clubs, and was linked with Arsenal at the weekend, as a winter departure seems likely.
