According to Voetbal International, it is very likely that Dick Advocaat will be replaced in the summer by Feyenoord.

Advocaat took charge of Feyenoord after Jaap Stam was sacked last December, and has not lost an Eredivisie game yet with the Rotterdam side.

However, Advocaat’s contract is up next summer, and VI is reporting that talks over a new deal have not yet happened. Technical director Frank Arnesen is reportedly looking to take the club in a new direction and that means replacing Advocaat.

Arnesen told VI, “I have known Dick for 25 years. Soon we will sit down, that will be during the winter break and then we will come to a decision that is the best for Feyenoord”

The 73-year-old stated at the weekend that Feyenoord will definitely be his final club, meaning retirement may be on the cards this summer.

VI adds that Dirk Kuyt is set to have some role in the Feyenoord coaching set up next season and will be actively involved in scouting meetings, while Advocaat will not.
