finnbogason cDespite reportedly being in financial trouble, Heerenveen refused the multi-million Euro offer from Fulham for the top scorer in the Eredivisie.

Speaking to Omroep Friesland, Finnbogason spoke of his annoyance that Heerenveen did not accept the offer from the Premier League club.

He said, “If you are in financial difficulties and there is a bid of 10 million, and you still want more … A strange decision. I would have liked to make the decision, it is my career. I can not help it. It was a chance for me to play in the Premier League. That does not happen every day.”

“They have always said that they want to have ten million euros for me and then suddenly they want more, I think amateurish.”

Finnbogason has been in terrific form for Heerenveen this season, netting 20 goals in 18 Eredivisie matches, and has been linked with moves to the likes of Roma, Everton, and Celtic in the past.
