Fischer, who played for the Ajax first team 79 times and now plays for Middlesbourgh in the English Premier League, spoke to Tipsbladet about the young Danish striker. “I think Kasper can handle the situation well, simply focus on playing football,”
Fischer then warned the youngster about comparisons with any Danish player at Ajax “Christian Eriksen was named the new Michael Laudrup, I was named the new Laudrup and now the same is true for Dolberg. Ultimately they all mean nothing and there is no good reason to listen to the opinions.”
On coping with any potential drop in form Fischer’s advice was“It can be difficult when you get a lot of criticism. Ajax do not expect to lose many games, but something like that can sometimes occur. There is much pressure, but you can also learn from this situation too.”
Dolberg has recently been attracting the interest of clubs such as Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City, and was recently called up to the Danish senior squad.
