Steven Berghuis, Davy Pröpper, Bart Ramselaar, Nick Viergever and Marten de Roon are the unlucky players deemed surplus to requirements after the 5-0 win over Ivory Coast on Sunday.

On Tuesday, Advocaat appears on the training field for the first time since being named Netherlands head coach alongside his assistant Ruud Gullit. He will oversee the preparations for the must-win World Cup qualifier against Luxembourg this Friday.

The full squad is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Sergio Padt, Jasper Cillessen, Jeroen Zoet

Defenders: Joel Veltman, Matthijs de Ligt, Nathan Ake, Daley Blind, Wesley Hoedt, Stefan de Vrij, Bruno Martins Indi, Kenny Tete

Midfielders: Wesley Sneijder, Tonny Vilhena, Davy Klaassen, Kevin Strootman, Jens Toornstra, Georginio Wijnaldum

Attackers; Bas Dost, Vincent Janssen, Memphis Depay, Arjen Robben, Jeremain Lens, Quincy Promes
