Fortuna Sittard has finally sealed their first win of the season after defeating Willem II 3-2.

Willem II have had a poor start to the campaign but they were boosted by the return of Kwasi Wriedt, who was fit enough for a spot on the bench.

The striker watched on as Willem II dominated possession, but Fortuna Sittard were clinical and they went into the break 3-0 up. Lisandro Semedo netted the opener in the ninth minute before Sebastian Polter earned and then scored a penalty. Just before half-time, Zian Flemming added the third.

Wriedt appeared from the bench at the break and his strike partner Vangelis Pavlidis pulled one back with a strike into the far corner. Two minutes before time, Jan-Arie van der Heijden made it 3-2, but Willem II were then reduced to ten men as Pol Llonch saw red.

Fortuna Sittard earn their first win of the campaign and double their points tally to six. They sit sixteenth, while Willem II are one place above them.
