Fortuna Sittard have sacked manager Ben van Dael after a poor run of results culminating in a 4-0 home defeat to Den Bosch on Friday night.

The board of Fortuna Sittard sighted the poor form of recent weeks as a reason to dismiss the manager and they now believe that it is, ”Essential to make a change”.
Fortuna Sittard’s last win the Jupiler League dates back to 14th October when they beat VVV Venlo. Since that game they have gone on to lose 8 of 9 league games with the other match being a draw.
Ben van Dael had a contract until 2019 and had been in charge of the club since December 2015.
