According to De Telegraaf, Fortuna Sittard are set for investment from Turkish TV magnate Acun Ilicali.

Fortuna Sittard has been linked with Ilicali for weeks but now the investment is close to being confirmed.

The Turkish TV magnate will take 60% of shares in Fortuna Sittard and invest €8 million into the club. Fortuna Sittard will use the money to invest in the transfer market and take the club to the next level.

Current chairman Isitan Gün has 85% of the shares and has been trying to convince Ilicali to invest in the club he saved from financial ruin back in 2016 when he cleared their €900,000 worth of debts.
