It was an emotional night in Limburg on Friday night as Fortuna Sittard unveiled a statue honouring Fernando Ricksen.

The former Rangers, AZ and Zenit midfielder spent seven years as a player with Fortuna Sittard, who have supported the 41-year-old continuously as he battles Motor Neurone Disease.
On Friday night, Mark van Bommel and Kevin Hofland were in attendance before the game with Jong Ajax to unveil a statue of Ricksen. The scenes that followed were emotional as all involved battled tears including Ricksen himself, who was understandably emotional.
