After having his contracted extended, Timothy Fosu-Mensah has set himself a challenge to become a regular at Manchester United next season.

The defender, who has missed the whole of this season through injury, was out of contract at the club this summer. However, Manchester United decided to use an option to extend it by another year.

Speaking to The Independent, Fosu Mensah said, “Who wouldn’t want to play for United? Of course I am eager to return and do it right.

“I want to give everything for this wonderful club. My goal is to become a regular player, win a lot of prizes and have many great experiences. That is what I strive for. But I think I share this goal with everyone at United.”

Fosu-Mensah feels confidence from United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, “Solskjaer has been very positive about me. I think I trained with the team for the first time sometime in December and that’s when he saw me playing with my own eyes for the first time. He sees that I work hard and encourages me every time. I certainly feel the confidence of him. “
