Timothy Fosu-Mensah has left Manchester United on deadline day to sign for Fulham on a season-long loan deal.

The versatile defender spent last season with Crystal Palace but went into pre-season hoping to convince Jose Mourinho to keep him in Manchester this season.

However, with his first-team chances looking bleak, Fosu-Mensah has decided on another loan deal, this time with Premier League new boys Fulham.

The 20-year-old is Fulham’s eleventh signing of the summer after Jean Michaël Seri, Aleksandar Mitrovic, Alfie Mawson, Fabri, Maxime Le Marchand, Joe Bryan, André Schürrle, Luciano Vietto, Sergio Rico and Calum Chambers.
