The management of Timothy Fosu-Mensah, the Stellar Group, has strongly denied claims that the defender is to leave Manchester United.

fosu-mensahThe Daily Mail reported this week that the young Dutch defender was not in Jose Mourinho’s plans for the season and is one of nine players set to leave the club this summer.

However speaking to Voetbal International, boss of Stellar Group Jonathan Barnet denied the rumours and stated Fosu-Mensah is staying in Manchester.

He said, “We are in constant dialogue with United.

“All those messages come from nowhere. Timothy Fosu-Mensah stays at Manchester United. ”

The defender was not part of a 23-man squad that was training after the trip to China, but Barnet confirmed that this was due to a slight injury that Fosu-Mensah suffered.

The 18-year-old broke into the Manchester United first team under Louis van Gaal last season, impressing in eight Premier League appearances.
