Netherlands have just qualified for the World Cup but assistant coach Henk Fraser is not sure whether he will remain in his position until the tournament.

The Sparta Rotterdam head coach is one of Louis van Gaal’s assistant coaches and has a contract until after the World Cup in the winter of 2022.

However, speaking with RTV Rijnmond, Fraser indicated his future with Oranje is uncertain, “We talked about a number of phases. The first was qualifying. We’ve done that now.

‘I don’t know yet what the future will bring. There are always a number of issues that need to be discussed again. From the national coach, from the KNVB, from Sparta and from myself.”

Fraser is enjoying working with the Netherlands, “I am enjoying it in every way. The players are fantastic. It’s a close-knit group. The staff is also fantastic. I got to know amazing and professional people. Lots of things you can take with you to your club.”
