Goals from Quincy Promes and Vincent Janssen gave Netherlands a hard fought 2-1 victory in Morocco, with Oranje holding out for the last twenty minutes with ten men after Matthijs de Ligt was sent off.

Grim said, ”I am very satisfied with the result because that is the most important thing. We kept our discipline well giving hardly anything away in the first-half.

”In the second- half we were too eager to extend our lead and it was also difficult with the red card of Matthijs De Ligt but I must compliment my team how we responded after going down to 10 men.

”You know that when you play on different continents against certain countries that you must prepare well and not react when provoked and my team has done that well tonight.”

On his role with Netherlands, Grim added, ”Dick Advocaat is the national team manager and I am an assistant. I am happy to fulfil my press duties and I will speak to Dick Advocaat in due course about tonight’s game.”
