Frenkie de Jong has committed his future to Ajax by signing a new contract until 2022.

The 20-year-old has become a key player in the Ajax starting eleven in recent weeks and his impressive performances have alerted clubs such as Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Manchester City.

However, Europe’s top clubs will have to wait to sign the midfielder with De Jong putting pen-to-paper on a new five-year deal on Friday.

De Jong, who was signed from Willem II in 2015, has so far played has played 28 official matches in Ajax’s first team so far and scored twice.
