Luc Castaignos could be set for a return to Italy with Genoa reportedly keen to sign the Twente striker this month.

castaignos jjThe 22-year-old had a failed one-year spell with Inter Milan during the 2011-12 season, but has since resurrected his career back in Netherlands, scoring 36 goals in 79 league matches for FC Twente.

Tuttomercatoweb are now reporting that Genoa have set their sights on the Netherlands U21 international after failing to sign Pablo Osvaldo, who is currently on loan with Inter Milan.

Castaignos was heavily linked with English side Swansea City during the summer, but since that move fell through the striker has scored nine goals in fourteen games this season.
