Go Ahead Eagles have finally fulfilled their wish of signing a new left-back. Weeks after negotiations with Pascal Bosschaart broke down, the Deventer club have signed AZ youngster Ridgeciano Haps on loan until the end of the season.

haps asdHaps was allowed to leave temporarily after AZ completed the signing of fellow left-back Simon Poulsen. A left-back was a top priority for Eagles boss Foeke Booy after Joeri Schroven left De Adelaarshorst for VVV-Venlo.

The young left-back has only made one Eredivisie appearance so far under former AZ manger Gertjan Verbeek, against PSV earlier this season.

His AZ team mate Donny Gorter will not be going out on loan.  ADO Den Haag were keen to take him on board, but Gorter has opted to fight for his chance in Alkmaar instead.

With just three more days of the current window left Go Ahead Eagles are still looking to sign a left-winger. Main targer for that position is De Graafschap’s Anco Jansen, whose deal runs out in the summer although the club may opt to extend that deal with another year. De Graafschap are looking for a fee of €300,000 for Jansen’s services and that could be a stumbling for Go Ahead. Both clubs are currently in talks to see if an agreement can be reached.
