Go Ahead Eagles have snapped up talented PSV Eindhoven midfielder Peter van Ooijen on a free transfer.

The 22-year-old was out of contract at the Philips Stadion this summer, and was told by PSV directors that he could leave with no chance of first team football next season.
Go Ahead Eagles have reacted quickly and tied Van Ooijen down to a one year deal in Deventer, with an option to extend the contract for another two years. The midfielder will now get a chance to gain experience in the Eredivisie.
The clubs chairman Edwin Lugt said to the official site, “For us it’s great to be able to offer a platform for a player from the PSV squad”
“Here he can show what he has in store and grow in our rich tradition, develop and come to fruition.”
Van Ooijen made 25 appearances for Jong PSV in the Eerste Divisie last season, scoring three goals, and adding five assists.
