Young striker Brian Brobbey (16) was in great form last season and finished as the top scorer in the Ajax academy with 34 goals across the U17 and U19 sides. He also netted three times for the Netherlands U17 side that won the European Championships.

Manchester United were reportedly circiling but Brobbey has signed his first professional contract until 2021, and told the club’s website, “I have been playing at Ajax since the F1, so the club means a lot to me. I want to be important for Ajax U19 next season. In addition, I hope to train with Ajax first team and maybe play a game.”

Midfielder Ryan Gravenberch (16) is considered one of the finest talents in his age range. He is the youngest scorer in the UEFA Youth League, helped Ajax’s U17’s win the futures cup and also had a key role in Netherlands U17’s European Championship victory.

Gravenberch has also signed a contract until the summer of 2021.
