Nijland confirmed at Groningen’s press day that a deal had been struck with the Premier League side and the Mexican will spend the next two seasons on loan at the Euroborg.
Hans Nijland added on the deal, “This was a strategic consideration in addition to sporting. We have concluded a nice deal with City. Should Antuna make a nice transfer in the future, we will benefit from it. You can call it a reseller rate. ”
The 19-year-old impressed for Mexico at the U20 World Cup this summer and was snapped up by Manchester City, who have allowed the forward to now gain first team action in the Netherlands.
