The 21-year-old joined Groningen on loan in the summer, and has so far made 16 appearances in the Eredivisie this season, netting 3 goals.
Groningen are reportedly so impressed by the Hungarian that they are considering making an offer to Liverpool to sign the youngster on a permanent deal, using a clause in the loan agreement.
However according to local newspaper Dagblad van het Noorden, Liverpool have handed Groningen a deadline of the 15th of May to activate the clause, or the player will return to England in the Summer.
Adorjan signed for Liverpool in 2009, but failed to make a single appearance for the first team before moving to the Eredivisie last season. It is not yet known whether the player prefers a stay in Groningen over a return to Liverpool.
