Groningen have announced the signing of Norwegian international midfielder Ruben Yttergård Jenssen.

jenssenThe 28-year-old joins Groningen on a free transfer having left German Bundesliga 2 side Kaiserslautern at the end of the season. Yttergård Jenssen will undergo his medical on Tuesday before putting pen to paper on a long term contract. Groningen have announced that they plan on presenting the midfielder at 2.3opm.

Yttergård Jenssen started his career with Tromso, spending seven years with the club before joining Kaiserslautern in 2013. In 75 league appearances in Germany, he scored seven goals.

Yttergård Jenssen has 34 caps for the Norwegian national team and will become Groningen’s second summer signing having already announced Tom van Weert.
