Van Gaal will leave his position as Netherlands coach after this summer’s World Cup, and has spoken several times of his desire to coach in the Premier League, with both Tottenham and Manchester United linked.
Last December Tottenham sacked Andre Villas Boas, and reportedly held talks with Van Gaal, but the Dutchman didn’t want to accept due to his commitments with Netherlands. The job was given to Tim Sherwood, but a number of disappointing results have heaped pressure on the new boss, and Tottenham could look to Van Gaal in the summer.
Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live Ruud Gullit believes that Van Gaal has already accepted the job in London after meeting Spurs chairman DanielLevy.
Gullit said, “I know for sure the chairman of Tottenham was at Van Gaal’s house. I think it’s a done deal, but you never know.”
