Ruud Gullit has put himself forward to be the new head coach of the Netherlands.

The KNVB are now on the search for a new national team manager after Ronald Koeman departed to take on the Barcelona role.

Speaking to beIN Sports, Ruud Gullit put himself forward for the role, “If Oranje comes and asks me, I will certainly do it. It’s an honourable job and I think every Dutch person who gets this chance will think about it.”

Gullit has previously worked as assistant to Dick Advocaat with the national team. However, he hasn’t been a head coach since 2011.
