Warner Hahn will play the second half of the season on the other side of Rotterdam having agreed to join Excelsior on loan for six months.

The goalkeeper, 24, has been injured for the first half of the season following a serious knee injury, but is now ready to return to action following a successful comeback for Feyenoord 2 last month. Feyenoord have significant depth at Goalkeeper with Brad Jones, Par Hansson, Justin Bijlow and Kenneth Vermeer all fighting for a place.
Therefore, the decision to loan out Hahn makes sense from a sporting perspective for both Hahn and Feyenoord. Martin van Geel told the official website, “for Warner [Hahn], it is important that he plays again at Eredivisie level after his injury. He gets that chance at Excelsior, after working hard the past year to regain match fitness.”
Hahn will report directly to Excelsior following the Christmas break and will not join the Feyenoord training camp in Marbella.
This is the second loan move for Hahn following a successful spell at PEC Zwolle, during 2014-2015 season, where he made thirty-two starts in the Eredivisie.
Warner Hahn has a contract with Feyenoord until 2019.
Good move for all involved. Play great Warner and we will see you next season!
