Heerenveen came back from 1-0 at the break to seal a 3-1 win over Go Ahead Eagles on Saturday night.

Go Ahead Eagles had a number of good chances early on, and took a deserved lead on 43 minutes with Erik Falkenburg finishing well from a cross to the near post.
Two minutes into the second half Heerenveen were level, as Hakim Ziyech’s free kick was hooked into the bottom corner by Marten de Roon.
On 52 minutes, Heerenveen had the lead when right back Pele van Aanholt cut in from the wing before firing a low shot into the bottom corner.
Go Ahead searched for an equaliser, with Nick Van der Linden coming close with a free kick that was well saved by Kristoffer Nordfeldt.
Heerenveen sealed the points with their third goal on 84 minutes, and it was the excellent Ziyech who netted with a deflected effort from just outside the box.
The loss was harsh on Go Ahead Eagles who played well in the first half, but Heerenveen improved after the break, and took their chances. The win moves Marco van Basten’s side temporarily above PSV and Feyenoord into 7th, while Go Ahead remain 13th.
