Heerenveen has confirmed the signing of St. Pauli striker Henk Veerman on a three-year deal.

The 29-year-old left Heerenveen in 2018 for St Pauli, and scored 11 goals in the 2. Bundesliga last season.

A number of clubs from England and Germany were hoping to sign the tall striker, but he has decided to return to the Netherlands in order to be closer to his family. Veerman has now signed a contract until 2023 in Friesland.

Veerman scored 21 goals in 104 games for Heerenveen during his first spell with the club.
