Heerenveen have temporarily moved up to second in the Eredivisie after a 3-0 win at ADO Den Haag.

heer-adoThe Frisian’s endured a poor start to their campaign but three wins in a row has seen Jurgen Streppel’s side race up the table and their good form continued in the Hague.

Striker Reza Ghoochannejhad had the first big chance for Heerenveen on 25 minutes but his shot came back off the post. However, a minute later the visitors led as Sam Larsson’s corner was deflected into his own net by ADO Den Haag defender Wilfried Kanon. 

ADO Den Haag failed to find a way back into the game and with ten minutes left Arber Zeneli netting his third of the season before substitute striker Henk Veerman sealed the victory with a powerful strike late on.

The win lifts Heerenveen to 2nd while ADO Den Haag are ninth.
