A late goal from Marten Thorsby saw Heerenveen record a 1-0 win at De Graafschap.

After three straight draws, De Graafschap had lifted themselves off the bottom of the table, but Cambuur’s win over PEC Zwolle on Saturday had seen the Superboeren move back to 18th.
The home side created the better chances in the first half but Vincent Vermeij, who netted twice last week, was denied by Erwin Mulder, while Cas Peters sent an excellent chance just wide of the post.
De Graafschap continued to look strong after the break, but after chances came and went, Heerenveen stole victory through Marten Thorsby, who had a simple tap-in on 78 minutes.
De Graafschap remain rooted to the bottom, while Heerenveen climb to 11th.
