SC Heerenveen are interested in signing Feyenoord winger Ruben Schaken, who has been used sparingly since the arrival of new coach Fred Rutten.

The 32-year-old attacker was signed from VVV Venlo back in 2010 and has since made more than 100 league appearances for the Rotterdam club, scoring 14 times.
This is what Schaken had to say to Voetbal International about the speculation linking him with a move away from De Kuip,”I will in the coming period look at the options one by one and see what is best for me.”
The six time capped dutch international has made just four starts in the league since the start of the season scoring one goal.
