The battle of Friesland was settled by Arber Zeneli who scored the only goal as Heerenveen beat Cambuur 1-0.

Cambuur began with new forward Rai Vloet in the starting line-up and the PSV loanee came close to opening the scoring in the early stages but his shot from close range went over the bar.
Heerenveen have had Sam Larsson to thank for their recent good form, but it was another Swede who broke the deadlock early in the second half with Arber Zeneli firing an excellent strike into the top corner.
Only fines saved by Leonard Nienhuis stopped Heerenveen from making it 2-0 soon after the opener and Cambuur could have equalised late on but Erwin Mulder was equal to Marvin Peersman’s header, before denying Jamiro Monteiro.
Heerenveen remain 11th after the victory but are closing in on the top half, while Cambuur stay second bottom.
