SC Heerenveen has completed the signing of Ulysses Llanez on loan from Wolfsburg.

The 19-year-old American winger has been with Wolfsburg for a year since joining from LA Galaxy, but he is yet to make his debut for the Bundesliga side.

Llanez has now joined Heerenveen on a season-long loan deal until the end of the season and will gain experience in the Eredivisie.

Llanez told the club’s website, “When I heard that I could go to Heerenveen, I was immediately very enthusiastic. I really want to make minutes in a first team, that was not possible at Wolfsburg.Β The Eredivisie is a great competition for wingers.”
