The Leeuwarder Courant is reporting that Anderlecht have had a €5 million bid for Michel Vlap rejected by Heerenveen.

The Belgian side have been in talks with Heerenveen for weeks but they are not yet close to an agreement. A €5 million bid was tabled by Anderlecht but that was rejected by Heerenveen.

Anderlecht are hoping to wrap up a deal quickly but are growing frustrated that Heerenveen have not yet revealed their asking price.

Vlap is said to be open to joining Anderlecht, who will be coached by Vincent Kompany next season.

The 21-year-old midfielder scored 16 goals and contributed four assists for Heerenveen in the Eredivisie this season.
