Finnbogason is set to leave Heerenveen this summer after two successful seasons in the Eredivisie, where the Icelandic forward has netted 59 times in 70 games, becoming the clubs all time top scorer in the league.
Greek champions Olympiakos are the first club to firm up their interest this summer, as they look to strengthen their attack for next seasons Champions League. However, Heerenveen have rejected their first offer for the 24-year-old.
Heerenveen technical director Hans Vonk told Leeuwarden Courant, “The offer that is now on the table is not yet serious enough for us to accept,”
“There are clubs that want to strengthen as quickly as possible, but probably not for an amount that we have in our head. ”
Finnbogason has been linked to a number of clubs in England, Italy and Germany, while Fulham had a bid of €10 million rejected by Heerenveen in January.
