Heerenveen have sacked head coach Johnny Jansen after a poor run of form.

The Frisian club announced on Monday the Jansen had been sacked after the club’s 1-0 defeat to the bottom of the table PEC Zwolle on Sunday.

Heerenveen is currently sitting in tenth spot in the Eredivisie table, but has lost their last four games on the bounce without scoring a single goal.

Jansen has been head coach of Heerenveen since 2019 and is out of contract in the summer.
