Heerenveen have agreed to send young striker Pelle van Amersfoort on loan to Eerste Divisie side Almere City for the rest of the season.

The arrival of strikers Luka Zahovic and Mitchell Te Vrede have pushed the 19-year-old down the pecking order at the Abe Lenstra Stadion, and to further his development Heerenveen have decided to loan him to Almere City.
Van Amersfoort made his Eredivisie debut in 2014 and has went on to appear in eleven matches for the Frisian’s, while scoring six goals in 13 matches for Netherlands U19’s.
Heerenveen general manager Hans Vonk told the club’s official website, “Our striker position at this time is well occupied. Pelle has more chance of playing at Almere and he can develop further. “
