Heerenveen general manager Hans Vonk told Leeuwarden Courant that the deal is close, “There are some snags, It has not been finalized. We want to be sure that he is a free transfer.”

Lumu began his career with Willem II, making 28 league appearances for the club, and scoring three goals, before a €150,000 move to Ludogorets in January. In Bulgaria, Lumu netted once in 11 league matches.

Heerenveen confirmed the sale of star midfielder Hakim Ziyech to Twente today, and the signing of Lumu will be some good news for the clubs fans.
