Heerenveen boss Dwight Lodeweges has been looking for a new striker since Mark Uth left for Hoffenheim last month, and they have now secured the signing of Slovenian youngster Luka Zahovic.
The 19-year-old made his debut for NK Maribor in 2013, and has gone on to score 13 goals in 45 league appearances for the Slovenian champions.
Zahovic was born in Portugal, but has represented Slovenia at every youth level, with three goals in three caps for the nations u21 side.
