Heerenveen are still searching for their first win of 2019 after being held to a 1-1 draw by PEC Zwolle.

The home side last won in the league back in early December, but they took the lead after half an hour. Sam Lammer’s initial effort was kept out by Mickey van der Hart but Michel Vlap followed up to net on the rebound.

However, PEC Zwolle equalised before the break when Thomas Lam was left completely free to head in a corner.

In the second half, PEC Zwolle were the more dangerous side but Warner Hahn saved well from Bram van Polen and Younes Namli as both sides were forced to settle for a point.

Heerenveen are 13th and only two points above the drop zone, while PEC Zwolle are 10th.
